gaelic and anime

TSORI

so i just finished watching this amazing movie, which i have adored since jr. high, called “the secret of roan inish”. it takes place in the beautiful country of ireland. i remember getting so into it that one of my friends and i decided to learn gaelic together. we did a few lessons a day and practiced with each other at school :D. here’s the website, if anyone’s interested. we could actually carry on a decent conversation! now i’m really interested in the difference between irish gaelic and scottish gaelic.

other than that, i LOVE studio ghibli films (spirited away, castle in the sky, kiki’s delivery service, my neighbor totoro, etc.). i remember the first time i saw spirited away… i was so terrified, i never wanted to watch it again! haha, now it’s one of my all-time favorites. you all should definitely watch some good anime. well, i mean, if you want to. whatever.

i’ll have to add that one to my netflix list!

wo! that is insane that you say that because just this past sunday evening, spirited away came on t.v., and i watched parts of it while doing my project! i thought it was kinda strange..i’ve never seen the whole thing just parts of it. But the other strange coincidence is that i was telling my stepmom how it reminded me of a movie i used to love..and it was kiki’s delivery service! I would watch it everytime it came on the disney channel, and i would hae my mom rent it for me! :)Ok, so after harry potter and our james franco marathon we have to watch kiki! and spirited away..so i can see the whole thing!”
