what does it mean to miss someone? how do we know if we understand language. sometimes it’s rather easy- you just point to an object and say it’s name. “book”, “camera”, “apple”, those things are easy to understand, but what about feelings and abstract thoughts and ideas? how do we point to love and know what it is? maybe every word means something different to every person. i guess the writers of our dictionaries basically have the ability to control our minds. one day, in the not so distant future, we might manufacture robots to do the tedious task of defining our everyday lives. they might have an uprising and….. Thanks for your comment on my Pasadena post. Yes, I’m hoping that we make many new friends while we’re here! We’ve met a number of cool people, but I’m realizing that it will be a while before we develop deep friendships. But you’re right, Pasadena is a great area! Thanks!

Hey erica, I hope you made it okay, and hope your trip was super fun. L.A. won’t be the same without you. Ciao bella!

I enjoy the way your mind works, Erica. You always have a fresh perspective or an interesting association of ideas. Getting a little peek into your thoughts is like the first time tasting an interesting combination of foods that is new and foreign to me; like the first time I had dark chocolate with lavender in it: unexpected, yet charming.
Thank-you for flexing your Vox.
